EVERY MIND MATTERS
A significant number of young people in the Netherlands face mental health challenges (RIVM, 2024). Among those aged 16 to 25, 52% report feelings of anxiety or depression. Additionally, 21% say emotional issues limit their daily lives, and 11% experience loneliness. For this exhibition, I photographed and interviewed 16 young people about their mental health experiences. Some have been diagnosed with conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, autism, or ADHD. Others face similar struggles without a formal diagnosis. Every Mind Matters pairs portraits with personal audio clips. In these recordings, you hear quotes of the participants—their thoughts, emotions, doubts, and resilience. The series reveals that behind every face is a story worth hearing.

HIDE & SEEN

POWER OF PURPOSE
This photo series follows 80-year-old Henk Kampman, who leads an active and meaningful life despite limited eyesight. From his years working in healthcare and abroad to his current roles as volunteer and host, Henk shows how getting older can still be full of connection and purpose. The series offers a quiet look at daily life, shaped by care, routine, and small moments of joy.
